Major League Soccer

 Major League Soccer, also known as MLS (Major League Soccer), is the top league in the Major League Soccer system. The league was founded in 1993 and currently consists of 27 teams distributed across both the United States and Canada.



The league is organized by the United States Soccer Federation and Canadian Soccer Association. The MLS Supporters' Shield is awarded to the team with the best record in the regular season, and the top four teams at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs to compete for the MLS Cup.


The American League is known for its high level of competition and its increase in popularity in recent years. Many international stars have moved into the league, adding an international touch to the game in the United States and Canada. Some of the notable players who have played in MLS are David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thierry Henry and other players.
